Once you’re determined to get good results on your pops ad campaigns, one way or another you get to the busiest part of it — optimization process. While optimizing a popunder campaign, you must be really careful as the traffic volumes for this format are enormous!

In this article, RichAds ad network‘s team and various experts in affiliate marketing will show you how to effectively optimize ad campaigns on pop-traffic!

The first question you face is how to make optimization on pops ad campaign? Where to start? Which parameters are the main to look at to make decisions? Our ad network experts and the 6 best affiliate marketing experts will share their wisdom about popunders’ optimization in this post.

What is optimization on pops

The main goal of anу affiliate campaign is to get conversions. If there are no conversions, there is nothing to optimize. If you got a couple of them or even one, this means that the offer has potential in this ad network.

For your profit, after some time of campaigns running, the cost of one conversion should be cheaper than the money you spend on traffic to buy it.

Any ad campaign’s optimization is the process of analyzing and disabling the sources, OS, devices, and other parameters that don’t bring conversions. It helps to pay less for ads and have profit in the end.

It is essential to mention that even experts in affiliate marketing don’t profit from the first day of the campaign’s running. That’s why the right moment to count your profit is not before optimization start but after it.

What is RichAds?
Ad network for telegram ads,
high quality push and popunder ads,
domain redirect, native and display traffic source,
buy push ads at $0.005 (CPC), pop ads at $0.5 (CPM),
domain ads costs start from $1.5 (CPM), native ads — from $0.001 (CPC),
ad network offers large volumes of traffic in more than 200 geos from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

Main points for pop ads campaign optimization

Sometimes, the campaign starts getting conversions on the first day, but it’s not necessary. Wait at least 2-3 days to get enough data.

If there are no conversions after 3 days of running, it means that something went wrong with your landing page (incorrect URL, lousy design, problems with loading speed of the lander, and so on). If you’ve checked the landing page and it works well now, it may signal that this particular ad network doesn’t work.

At least you may try another country for this offer. Keep testing or quit.

The first thing you should check during pop campaign optimization is to make sure you have solid offers and landing pages.

Nick Lenihan, Affiliate Marketing Expert

In the testing stage, daily budget limits mean a lot. Use it not to lose money.

One more important point for optimization is to set up a postback process between the ad network, affiliate network, and your tracker. Postback is a top thing for auto-optimization on our platform.

Auto-optimization features can be handy when it comes to pop traffic. The amount of visits is too high there, and you get a lot of data to work with in the tracker.

Save your time and budget using RichAds top features that are available after Postback integration. Everybody can set them up once, and they will work hard while you are busy with your affairs.

You can learn more on setting up postback at all popular trackers and integrating with RichAds in our Affiliate tracking tutorials page!

Check in which time zones your ad network, affiliate network, and tracker works. If they are in different zones, you may face some troubles with data transfer. For example, the tracker won’t get the information about conversion in time, so your optimization process may go wrong. Set up the one time zone for each of them to be sure in your data.

What is RichAds?

Main parameters to look at in popup & popunder campaign optimization process

First, you should divide optimization into 2 segments: you can track the user’s profile or optimize traffic source.

In the user’s profile, you can look at:

  • City & Region;
  • Device (if you initially haven’t divided your campaigns into desktop and mobile);
  • OS;
  • Browser;
  • Connection Type;
  • Browser Language.

In the traffic source, you can look at a particular:

  • Subscribers list;
  • Publisher;
  • Site.

You can optimize all these parameters according to the data you get. Please, have a look at each of the parameters in the tracker and analyze it. If a certain OS, device, or browser doesn’t bring conversions, disable them on the ad campaign’s setup page in the ad network.

You can do it even when the campaign is running. Don’t forget to save these changes!

How to Optimize Pops Ad Campaign Like a Pro

Every affiliate marketer has its steps to optimizing popup campaign. Somebody starts with traffic sources, somebody — with the user’s profile, and others look at the landing page’s performance first. There is no wrong or right way.

I optimize pop ads campaign in the following way.
The Traffic Source Segments are the variables specific to the traffic source. These are the ones I tend to give the most attention to once I’ve done my basic Visitor Segment optimizations.

Luke Kling, Affiliate Marketing Expert, rules premium affiliate community affLIFT

There is one more trick before we start analyzing. When we talk about pop ads there is no need to look into the tracker’s clicks parameter. The thing is that the users get into the landing page not after they click on something but automatically. That’s why on pops click means the same as visit or impression. Disable parameters connected with clicks in the tracker and make the process easy.

Нow to utilise blacklists and whitelists on popunders

While working on the optimization of traffic sources for popup & popunder campaigns, you need to be quite aware of high volumes of traffic for this ad format, and what constructs them. As soon as you know what traffic sources consist of, you can start utilising whitelists and blocklists, the best and least performing traffic sources for the campaign. Sometimes, you can get the quality data on what sources show the best results only with the help of conversion trackers.

In this part, we will tell the traffic sources structure at RichAds, show how to utilise whitelisting and blocklisting, and give some tips on optimizing paired with conversion trackers’ data!

The hierarchy of traffic sources at RichAds

For optimization, it’s important to understand the traffic source structure to make black- and whitelists.

The smallest source is a separate website. Several websites form a publisher, and a few publishers make a subscribers list.

These 4 numbers make a sublist. As you can see at RichAds, each sublist refers to the group according to its quality. Start to test with best Premium sources and then add Standard and Remnant.

These 4 numbers make a sublist.

Whitelists and blacklists

One of the main steps to optimizing your popup campaign is to disable non-converting sources. Why should you do this? If the website doesn’t bring conversions, it probably doesn’t contain your target audience. As you pay for impressions, using such sources may lead to colossal budget spend.

Except for blacklisting, you can also make whitelists. Remember that to make a proper whitelist; you need more time and data. To include a black- or whitelist source, you should set up source ID (32-character code) in the following format: 1 line – 1 source. There shouldn’t be any additional symbols or spaces. To set up, use publisher ID or site ID.

How much money is enough to test one subscribers list? RichAds experts say that everything depends on the payout.

Spend 1-4 payouts for your offer per sublist. If it’s low — use x4; if it’s high — x1-2.

Remember that if your budget is too tiny, you can’t test all the sources correctly. For this situation, we have an excellent tool, Source Sampling, which helps test sources in the best way even with a small budget.

What parameters to look at in the tracker?

At first, sort your subscribers lists in the tracker to see which one doesn’t bring conversions. If you have enough data, you can dive deeper to look at each Publisher or even Site.

Find the report for Publishers, for example, and sort them per Visit. You may notice that some Publishers have a lot of visits and no conversions. Turn them off, adding them to the blacklist. You’ll find the instructions on how to do this below.

Then you can sort the same report per Conversions and see which Publishers bring conversions. But Conversions are not enough. Have a look at the row with ROI or Profit.

If you have conversions, and positive ROI, it’s a good sign! Add this source to Whitelist.

If you have a conversion, but your ROI is low for this source, it’s a reason to think about blacklisting or how to pay less for this source (you’ll find the instruction on how to use Micro Bidding below).

Also, you can have a look at the EPV (Earnings per Visit) per source. Compare it with the CPM you pay for these ads. If the EPV amount is close to the CPM, you have to think about them. Probably you won’t get profit from this source.

Optimization on pops based on the following terms:

EPC (Earn Per Click) = EPI (Earnings per Impression) = EPV (Earnings per Visit)

EPC (Earn Per Click) or EPV (Earn Per View) is the ratio that shows an average earning of the webmaster for 1 click (impression) of their ads. This value is opposite to CPC. They are usually compared. If CPC is greater, at the end of the campaign, you are in a total loss.

When comparing, remember that pops work on the CPM model (payment for 1000 impressions = clicks).

How to use RichAds features for auto-optimization on Pops?

RichAds has cool features for maximum automatization of the optimization processes and reducing the traffic budget for pops.

Make work with pop ads easier using Performance ModeMicro bidding and Automated rules. The latter two features are allowed for the customers who have conversion tracking connected with RichAds.

How to start in Performance Mode

Performance Mode is a RichAds’ in-house feature that sets optimizaton process into an automatically adjusted mode. Once you’ve started a pop ads campaign in Performance mode, the algorithm behind it will be automatically detecting the best parameters for the campaign and set them accordingly.

Running pops campaigns in Performance Mode adds weekly fresh whitelists and blocklists, figuring them out by the campaign’s results! Thus, continuingly sorting traffic sources in this optimization flow, you get more and more highly converting sources exactly for your offer.

At RichAds you can launch a popunder ad campaign in Performance Mode right from the start. We also highly recommend to use this optimization flow for beginners and those marketers who want to get a safe choice on automatic optimization!

Also, worth mentioning that Performance Mode works simultaneously with manually added whitelists and blocklists, which increases the overall CR, decreasing the budget expenses. Plus to that, running pops in Performance Mode on Premium traffic sources at RichAds boosts the results, as this group is already configured with the best performing sources!

How to set up Micro bidding

Micro bidding allows us to set up different bids for different parameters within one campaign.

You may notice, for example, newer Androids tend to convert better, and you would like to increase traffic from it.

Formulas for Micro bidding are set up in the following way:

Parameter name: value:operation and change factor
Example: os:android 6:+0.001

Popup & popunder campaign optimization process with Micro bidding

For example, an advertiser’s bid for the campaign is $0.003. To make it higher for a certain OS, use the following settings:

os:android 6:+0.001(0.003+0.001=0.004 — it’s a total bid);

How to set up Automated rules

Automated rules allow creating automatic settings for black- and whitelists according to 7 parameters.

You can apply this action for:

  • publisher IDs;
  • site IDs;
  • OS;
  • creatives = landing pages;
  • browsers;
  • devices;
  • campaigns.

Using this feature, you don’t have to set up lots of parameters manually.

To make the work of Automated rules correct, set up at least 2 logical automatic conditions.

Here are the best conditions to make black- and whitelists:

  • Clicks+Conversions;
  • Spend+Conversions;
  • CPA+Conversions;
  • Conversions+Clicks+Spend.

Automation is also very helpful for managing pop campaigns, such as traffic source rules (i.e. if spend >1.50 and Conversions < 1 pause website).

Nick Lenihan, Affiliate Marketing Expert

Let’s look into the example of blacklisting non-converting sources with Automated rules. As it was already said previously, you have to choose two logical conditions: for example, if the spend is greater than $3 and conversions are less than 1, the system will automatically blacklist this source.

Don’t forget to set up a period of time. For blacklisting, 1-3 days may be enough.

Expert’s wisdom on how to optimize popup campaign

Here you can find some useful tips from the experts on optimizing your ad campaigns on popup & popunder! You can choose your own strategy on optimizing or follow the additional tips, or even mix it.

Don’t forget about using the automatic platform features as they increase the performance and at the same time decrease the expenses and effort.

Tips from Luke Kling

The fewer variables you have in your initial campaign setup, the more likely it is that you are not overpaying for traffic and the fewer variables you have to optimize for. Mobile and desktop traffic are going to have different bids. Instead of setting up 1 campaign targeting for both mobile and desktop, create separate campaigns for them. Then, when you do your optimizations, you also won’t have to worry about optimizing for the device. The same can be done for GEOs, OS, browser, etc.

There are 2 segments you can optimize for in each campaign:

  • Visitor Segments;
  • Traffic Source Segments.

The Visitor Segments are standard things you need to analyze/optimize in every campaign: device, OS, browser, etc.

The Traffic Source Segments are the variables specific to the traffic source. These are the ones I tend to give the most attention to once I’ve done my basic Visitor Segment optimizations. For example, with RichAds, you would optimize the Site ID and Publisher ID.

If you want to do it like a Pro, setup automatic optimization rules. RichAds has this built-in, so there’s really no excuse not to do it! Otherwise, you can test trackers/ optimizers like TheOptimizer, Landingtrack, RedTrack, and soon, Voluum!

Tips from Servando Silva

There are many things to pay attention to while optimize popup campaign. It all depends on which type of campaigns, verticals, and conversion flow you’re testing.

However, some variables you’ll always need to check when optimizing are the website IDs, the OS and browser. Filtering bots is one of the things I consider a must for Pops as where you can find more bot traffic than any other traffic source.

Servando Silva, Affiliate Marketing Expert

Tips from Ian Fernando

EPI. The only number that is important. Everything else is just tweaking.

Tips from Nick Lenihan

The first thing you want to do is to make sure you have solid offers and landing pages. After you know you have that, you can look at the segments of traffic you’re buying and see what’s working and what’s not (i.e., Android > Chrome > WiFi or Android > Chrome > MTN). Eliminate the losers and scale the winners. If EPV > CPV, then scale (increase bids, use other traffic sources, etc.).

Automation is also very helpful for managing pop campaigns, such as traffic source rules (i.e. if spend >1.50 and Conversions < 1 pause website).

Nick Lenihan, Affiliate Marketing Expert

Tips from imAttila

Pick the best lander after 1000 visits to it based on landing page CTR and/or conversion; whichever seems to make sense.

Continue with more landers in the style that worked best.

Test the offer on the backend. Even the same offer on different CPA networks might perform differently.

The first and most important tool an affiliate marketer needs is a tracker. Without it, running any advertising campaign will be like stumbling around in the dark, looking for a treasure.

Of course, you can calculate your profit in Excel. But why waste time on this if the tracker can do all the work for you? Keeping everything under control and managing campaigns effectively can be done for little or no cost.

Inside is an overview of 14 trackers, a table with prices and trials, and a list of trackers integrated with RichAds. Currently, 16 trackers are integrated with RichAds advertising network.

What is RichAds?
Ad network for telegram ads,
high quality push and popunder ads,
domain redirect, native and display traffic source,
buy push ads at $0.005 (CPC), pop ads at $0.5 (CPM),

What is a tracker, and whether an affiliate marketer needs it?

A tracker is a tool that captures information from the advertising network and information about approved conversions from the affiliate network in one place. The tracker can monitor many advertising campaigns at once, and you get a tool that contains all the statistics necessary for testing and optimization.

The first thing you need a tracker for is to control all advertising campaigns’ parameters and analyze traffic: what device and source the user came from, what browser and OS they use, what kind of creative people like more. In the tracker,  you can see all the data on how users react to your ads.

The tracker’s second function is to combine all media buying processes in one place. So you won’t have to switch between different sources. It allows you not to miss anything during the analysis.

Of course, you can find anti-fraud tools and other useful features in trackers, but this is more of a perk. The main thing is data.

How to choose a tracker?

Choosing a tracker, you need to understand your needs. First, with which countries you will work: nearby or around the world. What kind of workload will your tracker have: how many events do you plan to process per month? This information will help you choose the right option among trackers and their various pricing plans.

The most important thing at the start is to decide which tracker (self-hosted or cloud-based solutions) you need. There is no definite answer to which one is better. Let’s find out what these affiliate tracking software terms mean.

What is a cloud-based tracker?

Cloud-based trackers are faster than self-hosted ones. You can work with all parts of the world at once and get information as quickly as possible. It’s an excellent choice for campaigns in different GEOs, especially long-range ones. The speed of processing and data transfer will be as fast as for neighboring countries.

But there is one thing: you will have to immediately calculate how many events you need to process with the tracker and select the appropriate plan. You will have to pay extra for additional events if you exceed the limit. As a rule, this limit is up to 100.000 events in free versions and up to 1.000.000 events per month in the cheapest plan.

What is a self-hosted tracker?

If you choose a self-hosted tracker,  you will have to spend money initially. You will need the budget for the purchase and installation of the server, but then you won’t have to pay more.

But in this case, there are some nuances you should keep in mind: the server tracker is an excellent choice for advertising campaigns in neighboring countries with the country where the server is installed. The further the server is from the country, the more traffic you will lose. Therefore, you will have to install additional servers to work with remote countries. In fact, you do not need to pay for events or the volume of traffic that will go through the tracker.

The world is getting smaller every day, and it doesn’t matter if you’re at home or in a different country. In today’s connected society, we’re all just one click away from having access to the world.

That means that there is also an increased need for security and privacy when browsing the internet – which is why VPNs are so popular these days.

This vpn advertising guide will give you some insight into what a VPN really is, how people use them, what trends are happening in the industry, and finally, how to promote them through push notifications!

What is a VPN?

The first step in promoting a niche should always be understanding the ins and outs of the product.

A VPN is an online security and privacy solution. It is a program that enables users to browse the internet anonymously or securely or both from anywhere in the world where there is an internet connection available.

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network — which means it’s basically a secure tunnel between your computer and one of your providers’ servers, making your connection practically invisible if you are at risk of being snooped on by hackers.

In the past, only techy people and computer geeks used VPN; nowadays, though, almost anyone aware of its existence would opt for one. This is because the tool promises security against hackers (and even governments!) trying to look into a person’s online activities.

Learn more about what VPN and proxy are here.

Why your potential clients need a VPN?

No matter how useful one product may seem, it is the customer’s “why” that pushes them to make a buying decision. The customer’s why (or the benefit of the product) can be used as the marketing angle when promoting offers to catch the user’s attention. Use the angles mentioned in this affiliate marketing guide to VPN vertical.

With the pandemic forcing everyone to stay at home, everyone’s activities were confined to using the internet, whether for socializing, shopping, or entertainment.

If you’ve seen almost everything being offered by your streaming service in your location, chances are you’re searching for something else to watch that is possibly only offered elsewhere. A VPN can open up doors previously locked for you. Plus, if you’ve been surfing sites for grown ups, you’d surely want your browsing activities hidden!

Personal security and financial information are some of the things you’d like to keep private as well. With the increase in hacking and phishing occurrences these days, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. A VPN can help you tunnel your connection so hackers won’t have direct access to it.

VPN market trend 2025

Market researchers predict that by 2032, the global VPN market will be valued at $350 billion, which implies an increase of almost 678%.

VPN market size worldwide 2032| Statista

The North American region already sees an increase when it comes to VPN usage, but with such stiff competition, promoting this type of offer here can prove difficult without experience.

The good news, though, is that there is still untapped potential in other areas. Europe is the next biggest market with high internet usage and equally high spending power. The Asia Pacific will see exponential growth in the coming years due to its large population and low penetration rates so take advantage now while there’s still a lot of wiggle room!

Top Geos to run VPNs at RichAds

Here is the list of best geos to launch VPN at RichAds:

VPN offer conversion flows and earning potential

The VPN niche shows a lot of promise; proof of evidence are the various ways you can earn from it. Such offers come in multiple conversion flows, depending on the affiliate network you work with and the advertisers’ brand.

1. Cost Per Install

The easiest conversion flow is the CPI — typically, the user does not need to make a purchase. You get paid when your audience downloads the application to their device. The offer is usually a free trial, so converting traffic is pretty easy. Because of the ease of conversion, the rates are also pretty low, from a few cents to a dollar (if you’re lucky).

2. CC submit

If the free trial requires a credit card submission, the rate per conversion of a VPN offer increases and can go anywhere between $0.50 to $7.

3. Click2SMS or Pin submit

This is for mobile traffic only. The offer converts once the user sends an SMS message to subscribe or inputs the code sent to his mobile phone to complete the offer. The user is typically billed by his carrier. Payout rates per conversion are similar to that of CC submits.

Click2SMS offers can be launched at RichAds! Just add the sms:+442070000000 as the destination URL.

Read more on how to run Click2call & Click2sms at RichAds here.

4. CPS

CPS means commissions for every subscription are paid at a fixed price, regardless of whether the user continues to subscribe to the VPN service after the initial plan. Payouts per sale/subscription fall between $5 to $40, depending on the plan.

5. Revenue Share

As VPN is a subscription service, Revenue Share is the most popular conversion flow and can go from 30% to 100% share based on the subscription period.

Some VPN affiliate programs give affiliates a 100% revenue share for users who sign up for a one-month subscription. They can do this if the terms of the RevShare are not a lifetime, which means you will no longer be paid if the user you referred continues to subscribe.

If you opt for lifetime RevShare, the rate would be lower, falling somewhere between 30% and 50%. The advantage, of course, is that you will get recurring income from referrals that continue to subscribe to the service.

How to choose an affiliate VPN offer?

Deciding on the right VPN offer is crucial to an affiliate’s success.
Many factors go into choosing a VPN from the point of view of a prospective customer, like the price, user reviews, subscription period, or customer service, for example.

From the affiliate’s point of view, though, you should be mostly concerned with the average EPC, network conversion rate, and as always, if that offer accepts the type of traffic that you will use.

VPN offers have a history of performing well on push notification ads. Pop traffic works, too, although a good pre-lander is necessary.

Jairene Cruz-Eusebio

Objectively speaking, it will be best if you can find offers with recurring revenue so that your earnings do not end at just one sale. This reduces marketing spend in general since you will have more customers buying subscriptions from the company, which means there’s greater potential of earning higher commissions.

However, if you feel your way around the VPN niche, CPI and free trial offers that do not require a credit card submission would be a great place to start. If you work with a network that provides Smartlink for VPN, that would be even better.

As always, it would be best to reach out to your affiliate manager (if you are working with a CPA network) to inquire about which VPN offers work best at the moment for your traffic type. You can also ask for top-performing countries and landing pages.

Once you’ve had enough experience, you can eventually switch to the “harder” conversion flows that have higher payout rates. You can even apply directly to the advertiser’s affiliate program to have access to better payout terms.

VPN Brands with their Own Affiliate Program

Dozens of VPNs nowadays have their affiliate programs. The disadvantage of working directly with advertisers is that you only have one offer or product to promote. The advantage, though, is that you can get better rates for your traffic.

Here are some VPN advertisers you can sign up with:

  • NordVPN
  • ExpressVPN
  • CyberGhost VPN
  • Surfshark
  • VyprVPN
  • Hotspot Shield

If you would notice from this list, many VPN providers are also Antivirus brands. There is a chance that you can promote both VPN and antivirus offers, so at least you’d have more than one product to promote.

Some of these companies use their affiliate dashboard, while others partner with affiliate networks such as Commission Junction. Even when they work with third-party platforms, they still select and accept affiliates rather than the network.

How to start affiliate marketing with VPN

We’ll be focusing on push notification ads for now because this is the best-performing traffic type for VPN offers. Now, let’s get down to business.

1. Spy on what others are already doing

There are a couple of ways to do that: manually or using a tool. I would recommend using a push ads spy tool like Anstrex or Adplexity as it can make your life easier, and you can view other people’s ads with a click of a button. Time is gold, after all.

The next part would be to weed through all available VPN ads. If your chosen offer is restricted to a few countries (or if your affiliate manager recommends specific locations), you can narrow it down to those if you like.

I would usually choose ads based on Ad Gravity (the higher, the better), then take note of the bids (if available), and check all available ad creatives under the same campaign.

How to spy Ads like a PRO? AdPlexity shares insights here.

2. Create your ad creatives

Use the best-performing ad creatives for your ad campaign based on this research. For each of these already well-performing ones, create a variation. Spying is not just for copying — it is also for improving on what is already working. Prepare five to ten creatives to start with.

Here are more tips for creating VPN ads:

  • Push ads are great for VPN because the message looks like it came from the device itself, not an ad. You can utilize that fact in your ads, although you shouldn’t go overboard with scare tactics as that’s a surefire way to get your ad rejected. Be careful with your wording.
examples of creatives for VPN offers
  • If allowed by the advertiser, create an ad creative that uses their logo. For some well-known Antivirus brands like Avast and Norton, the popularity can rub off on the VPN and can increase the conversion rate.
  • If the ad network allows dynamic keyword insertion, you can insert the user’s IP, city, browser, device, or device OS in some ad variants. Make sure you still have ads that don’t have this dynamic insertion so you can test which performs better.

Try different angles such as:

  • security of financial transactions;
examples of creatives for VPN offers_3
  • hiding browsing activities or visit websites not allowed in your country;
examples of creatives for VPN offers_4
  • stream shows not available in your country.
examples of creatives for VPN offers_5

Since VPN offers require a software installation, additional restrictions apply depending on the ad network. Make sure you follow those to avoid ad rejection.

3. Create your prelanding pages

Again, you can use the spy tool for searching for landing pages — rip those that have been proven to work and improve upon them.

Make sure to separate desktop and mobile-focused landers if you find a responsive one, well and good. However, it would still be best to separate mobile and desktop campaigns.

With CPI and free trial offers, you can actually try direct-linking to the Playstore app page (if mobile) or the offer page (if desktop). Nevertheless, you must still test between direct linking and using a pre-lander.

Straight to offer page

With Preland

4. Create your push notifications campaign

Now that you have your ad creatives and landing pages ready, it’s time to set them up. RichAds has great push notification ads traffic in terms of quality and traffic, so we’ll start here.

Don’t forget to link your lander to your tracker so that you can monitor all aspects of your campaign. As mentioned above, it would be best to separate desktop and mobile campaigns and to split-test five to 10 ad creatives per campaign.

While focusing on mobile may seem the obvious choice, it is not always the best one, especially right now when everyone is at home. People are using their desktop computers heavily at the moment, whether for work or entertainment. Some VPN offers that fail with mobile traffic actually work with desktop traffic, so don’t cut it out just yet.

Some more campaign setup tips

Here are some more campaign setup tips that can help increase your chances of conversion:

  • Limit impressions

Limit impressions to 2-3 per day and clicks to just once a day. This allows you to give viewers a sense of urgency while not being too disruptive.
  • Select the OS

For mobile, choose Android. For desktop, choose Windows. Choose the latest versions and exclude almost obsolete ones like Android 6 and earlier.

At RichAds, you can see the percentage of each OS version in the particular country.
  • Choose the carrier if required for the offer.

RichAds provides statistics on each of the carriers in the Geo.
Carriers’ statistics for India
  • Create a separate campaign for New Subscribers

Choose to display the ad to New Subscribers as this converts better than users who have already seen push ads before.
  • Remove Remnant sources but keep New, Standard, and Premium on. Since we are focusing on new subscriptions, it’s good not to narrow everything down too fast. But you can stick to just Premium sources.

Premium sources are the best in the network. It is optimal to start tests with them. You will immediately see whether there is a result or not.
  • Use In-Page push or iOS Calendar push to get the iOS audience

Launch these campaigns separately from the main one. Choose the sources marked with a black dot near the four-digit number for calendar push. A green dot indicates in-page push notifications.

That’s it for setting a VPN marketing campaign. Run your campaign for a couple of days and wait for conversions to come in. But we’re not done yet!

What is RichAds?
Ad network for telegram ads,
high quality push and popunder ads,

buy push ads at $0.005 (CPC), pop ads at $0.5 (CPM),
domain ads costs start from $1.5 (CPM), native ads — from $0.001 (CPC),
ad network offers large volumes of traffic in more than 200 geos from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

5. Optimize your campaigns

Setting up Automated rules can make optimization easier. You can automatically block Publishers or Subscribers List that have spent a specific amount but haven’t delivered conversions.

Conversely, you can automatically whitelist or increase bids for good-performing sources the same way.

Here are more tips for optimizing and scaling your VPN campaigns:

  • If you’re running a CPI or free trial offer and you’ve been receiving conversions, have a look at the time of day that conversions occur. You can then either edit your current campaign’s schedule or create a duplicate campaign focusing on these times of the day.
  • For Click2SMS or pin submit conversion flows, don’t forget to take a peek at the mobile carriers that convert better. If you see one that outperforms the others, create a separate campaign for it.
  • If you want to scale in a bilingual country, you can test ad creatives that use a different language and limit the distribution based on the browser language.

Automated Rules.

Final thoughts on the VPN vertical

VPN is undoubtedly a hot vertical right now and will continue to do so in the next few months (or even years!). It is a good time as any to start learning how to milk this vertical. You can start by promoting free trials, slowly moving towards CPS and RevShare offers the more you understand your market.

Even with spy tools that will give you the exact ad creatives and landing pages to use, there are still several factors to take into account. In the world of affiliate marketing, testing is key to finding your goldmine, so keep at it!

Push ads campaign optimization — what does it mean?

Push ad campaign optimization is a process of changing a campaign’s settings to maximize profit.

You might have already done optimization of your campaigns and are acquainted with targeting on various platforms and ad networks, so let’s have a closer look at the settings offered by RichAds.

Here you can find targeting on OS, browser versions and language, carriers, subscribers age, and so on. We don’t collect personal data of our user base, only technical parameters that’s why our subscribers are quite loyal to the advertisements.

During optimization, you can:

  • analyze data received in the process of running a campaign;
  • replace creatives timely;
  • narrow targeting parameters;
  • change significant parameters (CPC, OS, browser versions, clicks cap, etc.);
  • turn off the parameters that don’t bring conversions.

RichAds platform flexibility allows changing almost all settings except the GEO. The variety of optimization options for push advertising is wide.

When is it time to optimize a push notification campaign?

If a campaign doesn’t get any conversions in at least 2-3 days, there is nothing to optimize here. Sometimes, the problem may be in the ad network that doesn’t convert for this offer or in the creatives or landing pages that don’t entice the user. Furthermore, your targeting may be too narrow or you turned on only a limited amount of sources.

It’s time to start push campaign optimization process when you have at least 3-5 conversions. It may happen on the first day of running but not necessarily. Sometimes, it takes time to test enough traffic sources in huge ad networks and find the right source that will convert well.

If you got 1 conversion, it is a good start but not enough data for decision-making! It just means that the offer has potential. Wait a little longer for the next conversions.

Main steps to optimize your push campaign

You can optimize a push campaign focusing on creatives and landing pages, targeting options (device, OS, timing, and so on), or traffic sources.

One of the main steps during optimization is to disable non-converting sources. Why should you do this? If a website doesn’t bring conversions, it likely doesn’t involve your target audience. As you pay for clicks, using such sources may lead to huge budget spending: you will pay for clicks from sources that don’t give conversions.

Besides, you can analyze the profiles that have a great conversion rate. You will notice that most of the customers use certain OS, device, or browser. We recommend to disable parameters that don’t give results, too.

Push notification campaign optimization is done in a very similar fashion as you’d do with any other banners. You need to make sure you’re spending at least 5-10x your offer payout initially and don’t block any site unless it has spent 2x your payout.

Consider that the more creatives you’re testing, including landing pages and offers, the more you’ll need to spend on tests, but it’s worth it because you’ll get data faster.

I’d recommend to start the optimization with sites first, followed by publishers, then groups of sites in case the network offers this. After that, we focus on landers, creatives, and offers. Finally, we check browser versions, OS, and other factors, such as the age of subscription, activity, etc.

How to optimize a push ad campaign?

0. Start with Performance Mode algorithm

The simplest and most effective way to start a campaign and have it optimized automatically is the Performance Mode algorithm. No efforts are required from a marketer and the tool is perfect for beginners!

Every day the feature will update the black and whitelists depending on the targeting of your campaign and help to save money.

What will you get due to this feature?

  • The freshest traffic. To put it simple, the newest sources with high quality will be automatically connected to your campaign every day, immediately after being tested.
  • Permanent sources update. You just need to set up a regular CPC campaign, the rest will be done by Performance Mode — it will choose the best white and blacklists, according to your settings, and will continue to update them.

Important: the tracker is not required! But if you have a postback set up, you can also specify the desired conversion price, the algorithm will adjust to it.

1. Check Ad Rank rate

One of the first steps to optimizing your push campaign at RichAds is to check Ad Rank rate.

Ad Rank determines whether your ad will be shown to users or not

Ad Rank determines whether your ad will be shown to users or not. It can be measured in an hour after launching your campaign.

There are 3 Ad Rank indicators:

  • high Ad Rank
  • medium Ad Rank
  • low Ad Rank

The lower the value, the less traffic your campaign gets. Medium Ad Rank says that your campaign is short of traffic. When your Ad Rank is low, the system kicks the campaign out of the bidding.

Everything can be fixed if you notice low rates in time.

Change your creatives or add more, raise CPC or both. Don’t forget to keep Ad Rank rate high.

RichAds team

2. Check Win Rate

Win Rate is the second significant indicator that can be analyzed right after the campaign starts. It points to the place of your campaign in the bidding.

Impressions mean won bids. If you have a low Win Rate, we recommend increasing CPC. Ask your account manager about appropriate CPC for your campaign.

RichAds team

3. Analyze the performance of your creatives after launching the campaign

A/B testing of the creatives is an important part of optimization.

While ab testing, analyze the results of your creatives to select the best converting variants.

With RichAds, you can measure the effectiveness of both push notification and landing page

To assess push notification, pay attention to CTR. The higher the index is, the better it is for the campaign.

See CTR values below:

The conversion rate will show the effectiveness of your landing page performance. It’s quite simple to understand: the higher the index is, the better the results are.

At this stage, it’s important to determine the push notification/landing page that converts better. They will help to conduct experiments. By the way, at RichAds you can use links to different landing pages in one campaign.

Sometimes just 1 day of A/B testing is enough to make a data-driven decision. But we suggest not to make time limits. Sometimes a few hours of A/B testing is enough, but in some cases, it can take a few days. Focus on the data relevant to your analysis. We recommend checking one lander-offer combination using the budget of 3 conversion prices if one conversion costs more than $10.

Find the conversion rate parameter in your conversions tracker. If you set up conversions on our side, they will be shown in RichAds reports. Our specialist may consult you on using this data.

What is RichAds?
Ad network for telegram ads,
high quality push and popunder ads,
domain redirect, native and display traffic source,
buy push ads at $0.005 (CPC), pop ads at $0.5 (CPM),
domain ads costs start from $1.5 (CPM), native ads — from $0.001 (CPC),
ad network offers large volumes of traffic in more than 200 geos from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

3.1. Remove non-converting bundles

A/B testing goal is not to choose one creative that converts better and to remove all the others. Even a successful creative will burn out in a couple of days and your results will worsen.

It’s important to find the approaches to users that will make them click on notifications.

That’s why we recommend launching a campaign with different variants of creatives.

If your campaign has only one creative it may impede optimization. You need to have the results to compare.

You can use previously failed creatives for further testing combining them with the elements of successful ones. Anything may work.

RichAds team

3.2. Prepare new creatives based on successful variants

Identify creatives with high CTR and try to understand which element works (text, image, or icon). Make new creatives based on the successful ones and monitor which variant converts better.

A simple rule works here: change just one element of a successful push notification. If there are a few variables it may not be clear what has worked out, so you won’t be able to conduct a successful analysis and increase your income.

During one of your testing use the combination “working creative – successful landing page”. It’s quite an effective approach.

RichAds team
Example of A/B test of creatives for push ads

3.3. From time to time update your creatives and continue to track the results

Of course, you want to do the job once, figure out which of the creatives works better, and not to come back to this issue anymore. But working on the campaign analysis and optimization never stops. Push notifications tend to burn out. The same images bother the audience, eyes glaze over, and it all ends with what we call “banner blindness”.

All you can do is refresh creatives in time.

If you are tired of coming up with “hot” creatives turn to your account manager, and they will prepare new creatives for free.

RichAds team

4. Optimize targeting with targeting parameters

At the stage of launching your campaign, we recommended using all available parameters. In a while, you will notice which of them work worse — we recommend excluding them from targeting settings.

4.1. Check targeting by devices

First, check whether desktop and mobile have the same results. Desktop traffic is only 1,21% of total clicks. At this stage, you can decide to deactivate some of the devices.

The results may show that the landing page is not adapted for mobile if desktops convert better or vice versa. Check adaptability on different devices.

It can be seen on the screenshot that for particular offer mobile traffic shows better results (tap to zoom the image)

4.2. Check targeting by OS

Check the conversion of outdated OS (like Windows 7). They can be less effective.

4.3. Check targeting by browsers

Exclude all the browsers except Google Chrome. Our data says that this browser is primary on different devices. There may be separate clicks in Internet Explorer or Mozilla, but usually, they do not influence statistics regardless of country or vertical.

Amount of conversions from Chrome browser (tap to zoom the image)

5. Set up targeting in advanced settings (optionally)

Advanced settings allow targeting by 5 categories: mobile operator (it should be set up at the start of the campaign for an offer and certain mobile network), connection type, IP, and browser language

Targeting by browser language may be especially relevant for multi-national countries or countries with several state languages.

During the campaign running, you can notice that some language works better and set up browser language targeting.

If you narrow targeting by browser language, don’t forget to check the language of your creatives and landing pages. They should coincide.

RichAds team

6. Evaluate the need for a fresh audience (optionally)

New Subscribers Only function allows us to control campaign performance and to target only those users who subscribed to push notifications no more than 7 days ago, it can be set up via managers upon request.

These are people who saw just a few push notifications and reacted actively to new messages. So, the possibility of successful conversions will be higher.

The cost of the bid for this audience is a bit higher than for the usual subscribers base, but it’s totally worth it, as the CR is higher and users are unique.

To assess the profit of this function, don’t use it in current campaigns.

6.1. Create a new campaign for New Subscribers Only parameter

Duplicate the campaign, turn on “New Subscribers Only” and you will be able to evaluate results without including conversions to the used audience.  If you need to check out the most up-to-date bids, you can consult your account manager.

7. Turn off irrelevant traffic sources

We recommend tracking the performance of separate traffic sources and turning off non-converting or too expensive ones.

You can optimize traffic on three levels:

  • Subscribers lists,
  • Publishers IDs,
  • Websites IDs.

The cost of conversions may become twice as low if you turn off sources in time.

How does it look like on the platform?

Subscribers lists (sublists) can be found in “Sources” section:

Publishers and sites IDs can be found in your tracker, or you can ask your manager to send them to you as a white/black list. They consist of 32 letters and numbers and look identical:

7.1. Turn off non-converting Subscribers lists

The system allows us to turn off sources at the sub-lists level in Subscribers list ID settings.

Besides, when you set up your ad campaign you can choose certain Groups of Subscriber Lists as sources for your ads. We recommend starting with Premium and scale with Standart.

We recommend starting with Premium and scale with Standart

Right after the start, include all possible sub-lists from the group, try all of them as soon as possible, and figure out which results they will produce. It’s better to consult with your manager to assess each source’s potential for your offer.

The system allows us to turn off sources at the sub-lists level in Subscribers list ID settings. Besides, when you set up your ad campaign you can choose certain Groups of Subscriber Lists as sources for your ads. We recommend starting with Premium and scale with Standart.

RichAds team

7.2. Use blacklists or whitelists for publishers and sites

Blacklists allow removing sources that do not convert.

Whitelists show your offers only to publishers and sites you’ve chosen.

You can create black and white lists for push ads. Add the Source ID (32-digit code) in the format 1 line – 1 source, without additional characters and spaces.

We recommend blacklisting (known as “block list” at RichAds). If you want to create whitelist you need to collect a lot of data to be sure that it won’t be over burnt and you will still get results from it.

Using white lists means that you get users only from a certain publisher or specific website. Our subscribers base is updated by 10-14% each week and by 50% each month. This restriction means that you will miss a lot of new users. At the same time, blacklists have no minuses in the use at all.

Our manager can help you in making black and white lists to reach targets ASAP. For that, you should set up conversions tracking.

RichAds team

Important: We’d highly recommend using whitelists on subscribers lists combining them with blacklists on pubs and sites. The thing is that WLs on publishers and sites have a tendency to burn out quickly. To make use of whitelists on SSP, you need to just choose the desired lists on “sources” section. There’s no need to add them to “whitelist” field.

8. Set up Clicks cap values

Clicks cap allows control performance. Make experiments to set up this parameter successfully: set the value and follow conversions.

Our basic recommendation is to set 1 click per day. If you need more traffic for the campaigns that short in time try 2 clicks per day.

9. Set up Automated Rules

This function significantly simplifies the campaign running. Automated rules allow to create automatic settings for blacklists according to 7 parameters:

  • publisher IDs,
  • site IDs,
  • OS,
  • creatives,
  • browsers,
  • devices,
  • campaigns.

It’s available for users who have set up conversion tracking on our side. Usually automated rules allow to blacklist sites and publishers if the price of a conversion is higher than the desired one or there are no conversions at all.

For example, on the screenshot below you can see an automated rule that will check statistics for you every hour and blacklist publishers who spent the price of one conversion ($3.5) and did not bring conversions at all or spent more ($4.5) and brought conversions more expensive than the desired price.

9.1 Case on using Automated Rules

Let’s also have a look at a specific optimization case using automated rules. The campaign worked for 77 days without any optimization, the desired CPA is $10, then we set a rule for sites — if a site brings the desired conversion price, it is sent to the white list:

The rule was set on the 15th of  April, you can see how the conversion cost has changed below:

Tap to zoom the image

10. Optimize push campaign with Micro bidding

Micro bidding allows us to set up different bids for different parameters within one campaign.

13 parameters are available now, and you can combine them.

The most effective way is to set up Micro bidding settings for sources, OS, and creatives.

How to raise and decrease rates productively with the help of micro bidding?

We highly recommend raising and lowering bids for certain sources or parameters gradually and monitor the results. For example, if you want to raise or lower the bid for a particular source, you can do it as follows using multiplication:

A coefficient less than 1 indicates a reduction in the rate, and more than 1 indicates an increase.

Thus, in the example in the first line, you smoothly raise the bid by 10%. And in the bottom line, you lower it by 10%.

This way you can track the results without unnecessary risk and excessive spending!

To know more about Micro bidding settings, follow this link or ask your personal account manager.

RichAds team

11. Use Target CPA

We’re moving to the easiest and less time-consuming way of optimization – Target CPA.

How does it actually work?

Its name gives you a hint on its functions – the algorithm does all the optimization automatically according to your desired CPA. It creates white and black lists as well as micro bidding to help you to reach the highest possible results without manual work from your side.

The main advantage of Target CPA is that it saves you time and effort spent on creating manual optimization. The minimum daily budget for such a campaign is $50, and the maximum conversion cost is $10.

To set up Target CPA, you need to add creatives, select the desired targeting, set the CPA goal and the daily budget, all the rest will be done by the algorithm!

Tip: Before testing Target CPA, we recommend conducting an A/B test of creatives in order to run the algorithm with successful creative

12. Analyse results with the Optimizer

Last but not least, make sure you test Optimizer. It is a feature that will help you speed up the optimization process, as it allows you to immediately check statistics on targeting and traffic sources.

How can I simplify work with campaigns using the Optimizer?

The thing is that with this function you will be able to manage your targeting directly from the statistics page, thus optimizing your campaign as quickly as possible.

You can quickly check statistics on targeting settings and quickly disable ineffective elements, as well as add them to a blacklist or whitelist.

This feature offers sorting by six targeting — subscribers lists, publishers, sites, OS, creatives and devices.

Check out our latest tutorial by Daria Maichuk, a Head of Customer Success at RichAds, she’ll show how to optimize and set up a successful push campaign and get highest ROI.

Conclusion

Now you know how to optimize a push campaign.

Remember, that testing and optimization don’t finish after the first changes. It’s permanent work with data, replacement of creatives to avoid their burnout, and analysis again and again.

We hope our recommendations will help you to run push ads and get much profit with RichAds.

What is affiliate marketing tools?

Actually, what are we talking about? What other tools are needed if you have an offer and a selected ad network? Or you don’t need side traffic at all. Be that as it may, there are still many processes between choosing an offer and making a profit, and all of them can be facilitated.

Processes may vary depending on your direction of work in affiliate marketing. For each of these processes, there are tools that help to do everything more efficiently than without them.

The result is a rather long list of top affiliate marketing tools and plugins:

  • spy tools;
  • translation services;
  • free stocks with photos;
  • services for editing pictures;
  • landing page builders;
  • hostings;
  • trackers;
  • tools for automatic optimization.

Of course, this is not a complete list of what an affiliate marketer might need. There is always something else. But these are the most important things, which makes life much easier for both a beginner and an experienced specialist.

What is RichAds?
🔝 High quality push and pop ads,
🔼 domain redirect and native traffic source,
🔝 buy push ads at $0.005 (CPC), pop ads at $0.5 (CPM),
⏫ domain ads costs start from $1.5 (CPM), native ads — from $0.001 (CPC),
⏫ ad network offers large volumes of traffic in more than 200 geos from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

Why do you need essential tools for affiliate marketing?

Of course, something can be done without them if you know a foreign language well and you are great at coming up with approaches for creatives that catch on. Or you are so masterful in the code that you can write a landing page without the help of landing page builders.

On the other hand, there is an affiliate marketing software that cannot be replaced. You will hardly count conversions using an Excel table, and check the data in different places is simply laborious.

Buying access to any helpers, you often have more profit than without them.

Plus, there is a lot of competition in affiliate marketing. And the tools allow you to be much more productive and faster, which gives you an edge over those who don’t use any affiliate marketers’ services.

Pros of affiliate marketing tools:

  • Help create better creatives and landing pages;
  • Save time;
  • Simplify testing and optimization processes.

Cons of affiliate marketing tools

The only disadvantage that can relate to top affiliate marketing tools is the money you spend on them. If you are a beginner and all tools need to be connected at one time, this can be significant for your wallet. Our recommendation is to start with the most important things — tracker and spy tool.

How to choose affiliate marketing tools

When choosing essential tools for affiliate marketing, pay attention to the following points:

  • Don’t be greedy to pay for what’s really important. For example, having a good tracker is the key to the whole process. It is definitely not worth saving on it.
  • If the tool is paid, see if there is a possibility of a free trial period.  This will help you evaluate the service and understand whether it is worth paying for it or not.
  • Pay attention to the available free functionality of the service. Sometimes features from the paid version just won’t be useful to you. This may apply to some hostings, for instance.

Let’s go!

Spy tools

Spy tools are a super important instrument for an affiliate marketer. They allow you to be in the know of what is popular in the market, what offers are converting, and what creatives are used by competitors. In addition, spy tools are a source of inspiration for creating your creatives.

You should not take ready-made creatives and landing pages from spy tools. Most likely, many users have already seen them and will ignore them. Find a cool option and use the idea in your own way.

Spy tools are also good for collecting additional technical information necessary for launching: it is better to launch mobile or desktop, which geo converts in certain verticals, popular OS, and user activity time.

Top 10 services for spying in affiliate marketing:

  • AdBeat the service shows which ads are being launched in more than 120 ad networks. There is an opportunity to use the service for free.

  • The Search Monitor helps with keys and other useful technical info.
  • eSpionage the service promises the best SEM and SEO strategies and everything related to them.

Services for translation

At first glance, it may seem that Google Translate is enough if you run short advertising texts. But this option is far from the best. Your translations will lose to advertisements from local marketers.

Broken phrases from Google Translate will lose in fierce competition for user attention.

Why? Try to translate a few sentences from English into your native language using Google Translate. At this point, you will understand exactly why you need the best translation tool.

The right translation is always very important. It can make or break your campaigns, so always make sure you don’t use cheap services as you may save money on translations, but at the end of the day, you will lose conversions if your translation quality is bad.

KJ Rocker, Affiliate Marketing Expert

Ok, what are the best tools for translating in affiliate marketing?

  1. Reverso is a translator with more features than Google. By the way, it is very convenient to use this translator if you know the necessary foreign language a little bit. All this is free and without registration.

  2. OneHourTranslation is a large paid service with professional translators. It supports 120 languages. They promise to work as quickly as possible.

  3. Transey is the service recommended by IamAttila in one of our e-books on affiliate marketing. According to him, the service is half the price of One Hour Translation and differs in that the texts are translated by native speakers.

  4. Gengo is another paid service for translating a variety of texts. It differs in that the translators have experience in working with advertising texts.

  5. Fiverr is a platform for finding various freelancers, including interpreters. However, there you can find a specialist in landing pages, design, and more.

This is how our top 5 affiliate marketing tools for translations look like.

Landing page builders

Of course, you can use ready-made landing pages from affiliate networks. It’s quick and easy: just take the link and add. At the same time, experts still prefer their own landing pages.

More often, I use my own landing pages because I know they work well. It never hurts to test network landers as well though.

Nick Lenihan, Affiliate Marketing Expert

Using ready-made landing pages, you miss a lot of testing tricks. Perhaps the page has a bad title, and you have to work hard to change something. Your own landing page is better, as it will at least differ from the one prepared by the affiliate network. Also, it will be easy to modify and test different funnel options.

If you’re a jack of all trades, you can write the website yourself using code. For others, a more affordable option will be the landing page builder — a simple tool for creating pages from templates.

We have compiled 5 tools for creating landing pages for affiliate marketing:

  1. Wix is a free tool for creating landing pages. You will have to pay only for hosting! Artificial intelligence is built into the tool, which will offer several ready-made designs and content options in a couple of seconds.
You can answer a few simple questions about the landing page’s purpose, and it will create a site from blocks with suitable text and images. All that remains is to edit it. The site has an open platform for developers with serverless data processing and simple options for coding. The price ranges from $8.5 to $24.5 per month.

  2. Instapage is another service for creating landing pages, but it’s more tailored to affiliates’ needs. In addition to the landing page builder, there are ample opportunities for testing and analysis: unlimited split testing, heat maps, dynamic text replacement. The service provides a 14-day free trial, and after the price per month is $149.

  3. WordPress.com is a service for creating landing pages. Please don’t mistake it for WordPress.org, as these are two different things. If you’re working with ads, you need the WordPress.com option. In fact, this builder is not much different from Wix, but in addition to its functions, it is possible to connect a bunch of plugins that will make your work easier. In this case, you do not have to work with the backend. Monthly prices range from $4 to $45, depending on the plan you choose.

  4. PureLander is a service that positions itself as a landing page builder for CPA offers from the start. Here’s a tool for affiliate marketing from the start. It allows you to upload someone else’s landing page and edit it using the most popular blocks to increase conversions: for example, you can insert a countdown on the page. In this case, it costs $25 for 6 months. Don’t think and try it!

  5. Leadpage is similar to Wix in terms of functionality, but it doesn’t have an AI option. The price ranges from $27 to $ 239 per month.

What is RichAds?
🔝 High quality push and pop ads,
🔼 domain redirect and native traffic source,
🔝 buy push ads at $0.005 (CPC), pop ads at $0.5 (CPM),
⏫ domain ads costs start from $1.5 (CPM), native ads — from $0.001 (CPC),
⏫ ad network offers large volumes of traffic in more than 200 geos from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

Affiliate marketing hostings

Ok, let’s say you now have a landing page. Some landing page builders provide free hosting depending on the plan you bought. But if you are actively working, this number of slots may not be enough.

In addition, all hostings are different, and for advertising, it is important that the page loads as quickly as possible. For some ad formats, such as popunders, experts recommend even choosing a hosting in the country closer to the one for which the ad is launched — everything for the page loads as quickly as possible.

You need a good server for your landing pages when driving pop traffic to them. You can get a lot of traffic very quickly, and this can cause your server to get sluggish (slow), which will kill your conversion rate. I recommend looking into getting hosting from a cloud-based service like DigitalOcean or Vultr. The results might surprise you.

Luke Kling, Affiliate Marketing Expert, rules premium affiliate community affLIFT

Here is a list of hosting recommended by our experts:

  1. surge.sh is a service that Denis Zhitnyakov recently told us about. This is free hosting with unlimited domains. Using it is as simple as possible, if you have a folder with site files on your computer, you just need to enter one command to load the whole site to surge.sh.

  2. Timeweb is another service from Denis. He uses both. The difference between them is that this service is paid. You can choose the expected load based on this package. This hosting provides services for virtual hosting with a free domain and mail, you can choose the VDS option. It also has a large selection of domains.

  3. DigitalOcean — This hosting and the next one are chosen by Luke Kling, creator of the premium affiliate forum affLIFT. DigitalOcean is more appropriate for developers looking for an affordable cloud infrastructure than newbies. There are no free domain names, no backups, no SSL certificates that affiliate marketers need. But if you’re a coding pro, you can do it yourself. The service price is from $5 to $80.

  4. Vultr is a hosting provider that offers cloud servers. The reviews state that the service differs from competitors in a higher level of quality and performance. The hosting has two plans: Bare Metal and Dedicated Cloud. They are very similar in that they both provide you with a server via the cloud. The difference is that a dedicated cloud allows you to buy a fixed percentage of a dedicated server. For example, 25% or 50%, or even the entire package. Pricing starts at $2.5 to $120 per month.

  5. Amazon S3 + Cloudfront CDN is Nick Lenihan’s choice. This set consists of a highly programmable, secure fast content delivery network (CDN) and service for storing and protecting any amount of data.

Trackers for affiliate marketers

So we are coming to the most important thing. Tracker is the most important assistant of an affiliate marketer. Without a tracker, launching any ad campaign is more like stumbling around in the dark.

All the data needed for analysis flows into it. It is in the tracker that you will see which campaigns are successful and which fail. In it, you can go deeper and see which creatives bring more response, track the technical parameters that show the best results (desktop or mobile, certain OS, or devices).

If you work with an ad network, choose a tracker integrated with it. Then it will be easier to set up the transfer of conversions so that all data goes into the tracker without distortion.

There are just a huge number of quality trackers on the market today. We will not talk about their features, you can read about them in one of our posts.

Here we will only show data about the availability of the trial period and the cost per month. This will be important for those who want to try and compare different trackers.

The tracker Trial period Cost per month
BeMob core features for free $49-449
Kochava 30 days $100
Keitaro 7 days $25-70

 Automatic optimization tools

Automatic optimization is a huge trend in 2021. It helps affiliate marketers to work easier. Basically, after a quick setting, auto-optimization does all the work for you.

What such tools can do:

  • create black- and whitelists according to the specified parameters;
  • disable non-converting creatives, browsers, devices
  • exclude anomalies;
  • turn off non-converting sources.

One of the popular auto-optimization tools used by many affiliate marketers is theOptimizer. It’s a third-party service that costs around $300 per month.

If you are not ready to pay such an amount monthly for auto-optimization, we have good news. On the RichAds platform, auto-optimization of campaigns is absolutely free. And our managers can help with the settings at first.

Automated rules: what is it?

Let’s start from the roots.

Automated rules is a RichAds feature which helps you to make automated changes in your campaign according to your own customized conditions, so it’ll be optimized faster. You can choose the actions: to add a source to the black– or whitelist, increase or decrease a bid.

And apply this action for:

  • publisher IDs,
  • site IDs,
  • OS,
  • creatives (just for Push campaigns, of course),
  • browsers,
  • devices,
  • campaigns.

Note!
Automated rules are allowed for the customers who send us the information about conversions via tracking solutions.

Using this feature you don’t have to set up lots of parametres manually.

Bye-bye exhausting optimization process!

How to set up Automated rules properly?

At first sight, it might seem that setting one parameter is enough for automated rules to work successfully. But it’s not!

Note!
It’s very important to create 2 conditions at the same time and make it logical for the system.

To be honest blacklisting works much better for good results, as whitelists limit the amount of sources your ads are shown at, which can lead to decreased conversions.

Let’s discuss two strategies you can use for making correctly working blacklists: blacklisting non-converting sources or blacklisting converting, but expensive sources.

Example 1

The system allows blacklisting non-converting sources. Let’s set them up! As it was already said previously you have to choose 2 logical conditions: for example, if the spend is greater than $4.5 and conversions are less than 1, the system will automatically blacklist this source.
Don’t forget to set up a period of time. For blacklisting 1-3 days may be enough.

Example 2

On some occasions, it’s better to blacklist blacklist converting but expensive sources.
In this situation, conditions are the following: if conversions are greater than 0 — CPA is greater than $6, such a source will be blocked. In this case, the desired CPA was 3, so if a source spends twice more, it’s better be turned off.

You can apply these rules for whitelists too, but remember that you need to collect much more data to create good whitelists. Set up automated rules for whitelisting at least for 7+ days to collect proper sources or contact your RichAds manager for creating appropriate rules and whitelists for free!

Automated rules monitores your stats every hour or at a certain time of the day. The results of these actions will be entered by the system in the fields of Sources whitelist/blacklist.

It’s exactly the same scenarios for all the available traffic types: pops, push and other formats. Use RichAds traffic and its top feature Automated rules to pocket the cash!

RichAds ad network constantly monitors its platform’s functionality and interface while is determined to make as comfortable to use and feature-rich as possible. We regularly update and add new functionality that helps the marketers to successfully run advertising campaigns!

This time we will tell you about the new filtering functionality for sources at Optimizer page!

Optimizer is an interface within the RichAds platform that allows you to optimize your campaign by managing targeting parameters directly from the statistics page! With the help of the Optimizer you can simultaneously monitor statistics per campaign, add/remove sources in both whitelists and blacklists, or even adjust custom bids with Micro bidding feature!

Below we showed what’s new added to the Optimizer this time.

To be aware of the all new updates at RichAds’ platform, follow the tag “RichAds updates” on our blog!

New filtering for sources at Optimizer: what’s the update about?

Now you can add to filtering any sources shown on statistics’ page at Optimizer. While pressing “+” (Include) button on, for example, a Subscribers list the publisher and site pages will display only the sources from the selected sublist. The “-” (Exclude) button on the contrary removes such source from displaying, for example, removing a publisher, it will stop showing its sources at any metric. At the same time the statistics updates after that, so you can straight-forwardly evaluate the impact of the item on the campaign.

The total amount of items that can be added to filtering is limited to 5 max.

The sources used for filtering will appear as a tag above the statistics’ tabs, if coloured green — included, while in case of red — excluded. Filter applies to the whole Optimizer page even after switching between tabs. Also the selected filters remain after a page reload, date and time adjustment and adding optional metrics. To remove filters you can turn them off manually one-by-one or simple reset them via “Clear filters”.

Conclusion

Usually a campaign’s optimization is a thorough and time-consuming process demanding the data at hand to be as detailed as possible to detect the best and the worst performing sources. In order to make this process easier, we implemented the Optimizer which allows to optimize campaign’s parameters and sources directly from the statistics’ page. As the Optimizer is regularly updated to improve it’s functionality and interface, we introduce filters-applying for sources across the Optimizer!

We at RichAds have been providing an advertising self-serve platform for many years, consistently improving its features. With us you can launch a push, pops, in-page, direct click and native ads campaign on over 220 geos from Tier 3 to Tier 1! Start earning on ad campaigns with RichAds’ quality traffic!

Since RichAds platform is already being a regular place to buy traffic and run ad campaigns, we careful watch it to keep being as seamless in use and functionality as possible!

This time we will present you the recent updates to Optimizer!

What’s new in the Optimizer update at RichAds?

In this part, we will overview the newly updated features in Optimizer of additional metrics management, creatives optimization, and visual tips of optimizing sources!

1. Additional metrics management

Now you can sort out, add or remove demonstrating additional metrics on the statistics page at the Optimizer by simply clicking “Additional metrics” drop-down menu and marking the options.

Also the display order of the metrics will remain the same for any campaign, and will not reset after reloading the page.

2. Creatives optimization

Before a campaign’s management in the Optimizer could be performed only within sublists, publishers, sites, devices and OS, but now you can also adjust parameters and monitor statistics for creatives!

With the new update you can add/remove creatives in the whitelist and blacklists of the campaign, and also set a custom bid on any used creative in the campaign separately straight from the Optimizer page!

You can already access the “Creative” tab with all said functionality in the Optimizer panel.

You can also add, remove or edit creatives straight from the statistics page.

3. Visual tips on optimization

For the comfort, two kinds of visual tips were added to the Optimizer: those signalling of a source’s poor performance, and those recommending to adjust the bid.

Now the red coloured sources will indicate their poor performance, and thus recommended to be paused. The evaluation comes out by summing up such metrics as CPA goal, CPA fact, Spend and Conversions.

Also, from now on some sources will indicate the campaign’s current bid win rate by having a certain emoji next to it. The high win rate (the “fire” emoji) will demonstrate that the actual bid is competitive at the publisher’s auction and you will get enough traffic from the source. In case you see a signal of unsatisfying win rate (the “thumbs-down” emoji), it means that the bid is too low for the auction and doesn’t win over the source to show the ad, thus is needed to be increased.

Conclusion

Ad campaigns optimization process is mostly a very thorough and dull work, that demands extensive concentration and awareness of the platform’s features. That’s why we at RichAds aim to improve the functionality of the platform that way so it becomes more convenient for the users! With the new features, the Optimizer offers a much useful functionality to optimize ad campaigns for better performance!

Also, at RichAds you can easily launch ad campaigns on push, pops, in-page, redirect and native traffic, as well as having all the top-notch tools for optimization. The traffic is being verified by AdScore, so the high quality of it is taken care of. Start running profitable ads with RichAds right now!

Dating still rocks on push ads! Nothing is going to change this tendency. Private messages show promising results in such a specific vertical. The main thing: don’t forget to change the creatives in time! It looks a little bit weird when the same girl writes a user every day.

Push ads are one of the best options when you are on a limited budget or a newbie in affiliate marketing. This traffic moderation is more loyal that is why the last thing you need is to worry about account bans.

How to start push ads dating? Let’s see the main steps to follow! After reading this dating push guide you’ll understand how to work with push ads in common and how to run Dating on it.

Find the basic information about Push ads for Dating here.
Tips and examples of ads are included!

This article is written by Atilla O’dree, an affiliate marketing expert.

Step 1. How to find Dating ads using spy tools

One of the most important things in the affiliate marketing (especially if you are a beginner) is to start out with offers that are already working well for other affiliates.

The easiest way to find out what’s working and what not, is by using spy tools like Adplexity, which will allow you to see what other affiliates are running and making money with.

Since we want to run a Dating campaign on Push traffic, Adplexity is the best spy tool for this.

When you load up Adplexity Push, it will show you a bunch of the most recent ads that are running on Push traffic sources. If you don’t know yet what you want to run you can just browse through and see what pops up to get some ideas.

But we know exactly that we are going to run Dating offers on RichAds Push, so we want to find the best performing dating ads and landing pages on RichAds.

First, scroll down and find “Traffic source” in the left sidebar, and select RichAds.

Then go to the Date Filter and set it to “Last 30 Days”.

Next, search for the keyword “Dating” in the search bar.

And Adplexity will show you a bunch of dating ads that are running on RichAds.

This is great, but we want to find the very best ones, so head over to the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the page, click on it and select “Received most traffic“.

By doing this, Adplexity will show you the best-performing Dating ads from the last 30 days.

To see the complete funnel, click on an ad, and then you will see the texts, the image, the targeting, and all the things like that.

To see the landing page, click on Show More, and click through the redirect chain.

Here is the landing page for this one.

Then what I usually do is check the first 3 or 5 ads that received the most traffic, save the ad images and texts and write my own ad copies based on those.

Atilla o’dree

I do the same thing with the images, I create very similar ones based on the top performers.

Then I also collect the top 3 landing pages, download them and send them to BannersLanders for cleaning the code, because there might be malicious scripts in these landers and if you don’t get rid of them, they might steal your clicks and traffic.

I also ask them to change the images and the texts here and there to make the landers unique.

When my landers are done, I upload them to my server and add them to my tracking software, which is Redtrack.

Step 2. How to set up tracking in RedTrack

Adding landers

To add your Landing pages in Redtrack, click on Landers in the top menu and add new.

Name your landing page however you like, copy and paste your lander’s link in the URL box and click save.

That’s how you add your landers to Redtrack. But to create a tracking campaign you need to add 3 more things: Offer source (CPA network), Offer, and Traffic Source (RichAds).

Adding the offer source

Redtrack made this step super simple with their pre-built network templates, so all you have to do is to click on Add New Offers Source, and select the one you are working with, and click Add.

Redtrack will automatically create a postback template based on the network’s parameters.

Adding offers

To add the offer you are going to promote, click on offers and add new. Then type in the offer name, select the offer source, add your unique offer URL, and make sure the URL includes the click_id parameter. This is very important to be able to track your campaign corrently!

In my example it’s data2 so I add this to my offer URL data2={clickid} and my URL looks something like this:

Adding the traffic source

Adding the traffic source is very simple, just like at the offer sources, Redtrack made pre-built templates for traffic sources as well.

So just go to Traffic Sources, add new, find RichAds (RichPush) and click on the green Add button.

The last thing we need to do in Redtrack is to create the tracking campaign, so go to campaigns and create new.

Then name your campaign, select the traffic source (RichAds).

Then you can set up your funnel by selecting the landing pages and the offer.

I usually start with 3 landing pages and split the weight equally, and Redtrack will automatically split test the landers.

You can do the same thing with the offers if you want.

Once you’re done save your campaign and copy the Click URL and save it for later.

This is the URL you are going to promote.

Step 3. How to launch your Dating campaign on RichAds

Now it’s time to log in to RichAds and create a campaign. Once you logged in, click on New campaign and select Push.

When you create a new campaign on RichAds, you are going to start with setting up your ads. So copy the Redtrack campaign URL you saved and paste it in the Destination URL box.

Next you need to add your images and ad texts. I usually start with around 10 ads, and then get rid of the poor performing ones later.

Find more ideas for Dating creatives here.

Next, we need to set up tracking, we can set up the Postback.

For the Main Conversion tracking, select Postback request, and choose Redtrack.

The postback URL should be automatically set since in Redtrack we used a built-in template in the traffic source setup (RichAds), but if it’s not there for some reason.

What you need to do is to copy the conversion URL, then go to Redtrack, select RichAds from the Traffic Sources tab, and paste the link in the S2S Postback URL box:

Next you need to set your targetings (Country, region, device).

If you want to target multiple device types, like mobile and desktop for example, always create separate campaigns for them. Never target both device types within one campaign.

You can select advanced targeting at the bottom of the page for more targeting options, like OS, Browser, Browser language, etc.

For multi-language countries prepare creatives in different languages and set up the Browser language. It will make your campaign more profitable.

You can also add sources at the bottom of the page.

And here you can select from the pre-built Whitelists that you can get from the RichAds’ managers.

They are also advice to start campaigns on Premium sources.

And finally I’m going to set the Daily Budget and the CPC (cost per click). The best strategy is to spend the budget evenly throughout the day. It makes you an idea when your users are mostly active.

Next I click on Create and that’s it. Now my campaign is pending review and will be live shortly.

Step 4. How to optimize the campaign and kill the “losers”

After the campaign has been live for some time, I check the stats in Redtrack and see if I can start optimising.

I start with Creatives and Landing Pages.

Then I start analyzing and I’m looking for any significant data which shows that one creative is better or worse than others.

If I see that one of my creatives is significantly worse than the others I cut it, and replace it with a new one, which is very similar to the best converting ones, this way I can make sure that I’m going to end up with the very best creatives.

It same thing with my Landers.  Remember I started with 3 Landing Pages, I keep them in rotation until I end up with only one, which is going to be the very best one.

Next, I’m checking the placements (Subscriber List IDs) and I cut the ones that spent more than the CPA payout and got NO leads.

After that I let the campaign run for a couple more days with the same budget to get more data. Then I’m going to optimize further, doing the same steps and after that, I’m going to scale the profitable ones.

In conclusion

To wrap things up..

Running dating campaigns on RichAds makes sense because the audience is what does best on dating. And spying confirmed this, we saw tons and tons of dating ads being run.

Thanks to the vast reach of RichAds, there’s many geos to play with.

Playing around in Tier 2 and Tier 3 geos like Asian countries,  African countries can yield great opportunities for those willing to put in the work, order translations, and get landers localized.

One of the reasons why popunders are so good for learning media buying is the budget and low difficulty to learn (affiliate friendly). The second but still very important reason is you end up dealing with 1 thing less to learn and optimize. That is on the creatives side, particularly — banners.

However, this doesn’t mean popunder traffic is an easy beast to tame. There’s also a fierce competition, and the ad format itself has been evolving lately due to browser changes and new regulations.

Let’s get started with the basics. And below this page, you’ll find pro tips.

Servando Silva

This article is written by Servando Silva, an affiliate marketing expert.

How to make money with pop up ads

Understand the user’s intent

Understanding what the user wants is the journey’s first step. Different traffic types have different user intents, and you need to treat them accordingly.

When a user clicks on an ad, they’re giving you a signal of interest triggered by your creatives. But when you’re dealing with pop traffic, the landing page might occur just by user clicking anywhere on the page (or sometimes not even clicking anything). Now that you know this, you should understand that the user’s intent is very low on pop traffic, almost nonexistent.

This means popunder traffic, in reality, is intrusive marketing in its purest form. While almost every ad interrupts the user experience at some point, popunders have the lowest user intent. And you still need to provide “relevant” visual triggers to capture the user’s attention quickly, or they’ll end up closing the window/tab before it even loads.

In conclusion, since the user intent is low, you need to understand the user intent on the page overall. What are they watching? What’s the ideal audience for this page?

Understand the types of traffic that drive millions of impressions per day, and you’ll be ahead of the game as long as your landing pages load fast.

This brings us to the second point.

.

clickunder

Landing page loading speed

As we mentioned before, the user intent on pop under traffic is extremely low, and people aren’t clicking any banners, notifications, or native ads to read your content.

This means people are not willing to wait for your landing page to load, and they’ll close it as fast as they can, depending on which browser they’re using.

Your landing page needs to be fast, simple, and straight to the point. It also needs to grab the user’s attention quickly. Ideally, you want your landing page on pop traffic to load under 1 second. Don’t give them a chance to close it before it loads or you’ll be throwing money away.

SERVANDO SILVA

Many new affiliates start with slow landing pages made on WordPress with a 2MB size and a 3-4 seconds load time in a shared host account. Although it’s not any near to full effectiveness, that could work on clicked traffic from Facebook, but on pop traffic, you want to keep your landing page under 200 KB and use CDN or VPS so that it would load it less than in 1 second.

I recommend Vultr as a hosting service, though I’m aware that many use Linode or DigitalOcean to broaden GEO coverage. As for CDN, you can use Cloudflare for free or some very inexpensive alternatives such as KeyCDN and BunnyCDN. The faster, the better; you’ll see a CTR increase if you have quick landing pages.

K.I.S.S. or keep it stupid simple

Keep it stupid simple. This is a concept I need to remind myself many times because when you run popunders, you’re normally limited to simple, low to medium payout offers. Email submits, app installs, extension downloads, mobile content, etc.

All those actions require simple steps to be achieved, and the user doesn’t have to think about it much. They’re not taking out their credit card to make a $99 purchase. They might need to do it later, but for now, your most important objective is to get leads for as cheap as possible while following the rules and restrictions.

In other words, your landing page needs to be creative and grab attention quickly, but it also needs to be easy to understand and create urgency with simple actions.

Servando Silva

For mobile traffic, usually, a couple of sentences, an image, and a call to action are enough. Most of the time adding a 3-4 questions survey helps as well but don’t overdo it. You don’t need a 4,000 words advertorial for pop traffic if you’re promoting an offer to win an iPhone or a discount.

An example of a landing page used on pop ads

PRO tips to increase your chances with pop ads

1.Use dynamic tokens

Passing dynamic tokens to a landing page is easy if you’re using a tracker such as Voluum, Bemob, Binom, or any other. You just need to check out the tracker guides and tutorials (example) and you’ll be implementing dynamic tokens in no time. This could help you increase your conversion rate just by mentioning 1 or 2 things about the user. Common tokens to use are:

  • City
  • Browser
  • Device (if it’s mobile traffic)
  • OS
  • Etc.

Be creative and use tokens wisely. Mentioning the date or month along with holidays also increases the audience engagement and trustworthiness.

2. Add scripts

While this might be something for advanced or tech-savvy users, adding scripts to your landing page will help you achieve a few things including:

  • Increasing your CTR;
  • Keeping people inside the funnel;
  • Increasing your CR;
  • Measuring and evaluating additional data such as bot traffic, etc.

3. Add social proof or options to choose

Adding social proof is a great way to increase your CTR. Facebook comments (check if they’re allowed) add credibility. If you can’t add social proof, at least add options or surveys so people can feel like they’re choosing and customizing their experience.

4. Start with whitelists

Another great tip if you’re running any type of traffic is to get started with a whitelist of websites that are performing better than average. This helps to reduce the initial volume and number of sites that won’t match your vertical and in some cases, they can be profitable right from the start.

At RichAds ad network to get a whitelist you need to speak to your manager and let them know more info about the campaign you want to test. Normally, they will ask you for the GEO, device, and vertical.

5. Split-test multiple landing pages and similar offers

Whenever you’re launching a campaign, try to split test at least 2 offers and 2 landing pages. In this case you’ll be comparing one against another, so you will get to figure out the best performing one.

After optimizing your campaign, even if you’re profitable already, don’t forget to throw a few tests every week with a lower traffic percentage just to see if your campaign could do better.

Test similar offers from the same network, similar offers from different networks, etc. Sometimes lower payouts work better than higher payouts.

6. Block suspicious traffic

If your tracker has a tool to analyze your traffic quality or identify some suspicious patterns, use it!

Some trackers can track invisible clicks, browsers without JS enabled, common bot IPs, uncommon OSes, screen orientation, etc.

Needless to say, this might end up saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars in the long run.

7. Separate mobile from desktop traffic

This is a basic tip, yet most people new in this industry don’t understand why.

Separating mobile from desktop traffic or just creating different campaigns for each GEO you’re testing is always going to be better than putting them all in a single campaign.

The bids per device and country are always different, so you’ll end up getting traffic from the cheaper countries because of your average bid. Plus, separating everything makes optimization easier later as you need to keep checking less variables in your tracker.

8. Spy and understand what works

There’s no shame about doing some market research and trying to understand what’s working now. For pop traffic, Adplexity is the best tool you can use to spy on the market and grab some ideas for landing pages and verticals.

Don’t expect to copy a campaign from Adplexity and be profitable right off the bat, but at least you’ll start in a better position now that you’re running something that’s proven to work.

9. Focus on mid to high traffic volume GEOs if you want to scale up

Learning paid traffic in small GEOs with low competition is a great way to make your first earnings, but you won’t get that far with $10 per day campaigns unless you have dozens of them working every day.

Instead, once you’ve learned the ropes, move to bigger GEOs that will allow you to spend 3-4 figures per day while focusing on just 1 or 2 verticals. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Tier 1 or Tier 3 region, they can all work, and it’s easier to optimize when you have enough volume to sustain your activity.

At some point, you’ve got to learn how to handle high competition GEOs step-by-step!

10. Test other similar ad formats

These tips focus on popunder traffic, but many can be applied to other ad formats. If you find yourself with a bunch of profitable popunder campaigns, the best you can do besides scaling to other traffic sources or geos is to test them with different ad formats.

Web push notifications and iOS in-page push traffic have a similar quality, so if you feel like you could learn something new, you can quickly move there and capitalize on your current funnels. Please don’t do it too fast, though, one step at a time. You don’t want to lose all your profits testing in other sources and lose focus.

11. Start in Performance mode

Performance mode is an optimization flow, that you start your ad campaign in, and yes, optimization matters even before you’ve launched. But since optimizing traffic sources and parameters is a really dull process if conducted manually, RichAds introduced this mode.

It helps you get fresh whitelists, the best converting traffic sources for your ad campaign, weekly and keeps your CR high as the longer you promote — the more sources get sorted. Performance mode is highly recommended for beginners and those who want to get rid of long optimization process and get a choice on hands-free optimization.
